Frequently Asked Questions

Visiting Us

Where is Pacific Nations Auto Sales & Finance located?

Pacific Nations Auto Sales & Finance is at 1432 Island Hwy #156, Campbell River, BC V9W 8C9. As of September 20, 2026 we are moving to a new location at 801 Osprey Ave, Campbell River, BC. Campbell River sits close to the centre of Vancouver Island, roughly a three-hour drive from Victoria, Port Hardy and Tofino, so we are within reach of the whole Island. You can call us at 250-830-4975.

What are your hours?

Pacific Nations is open Monday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are closed Sunday. If those hours do not work for you, call 250-830-4975 and we will do our best to arrange a time.

What areas do you serve, and do you deliver?

Pacific Nations serves customers across all of British Columbia and delivers province-wide. On Vancouver Island we regularly serve Courtenay, Comox, Nanaimo, Port Alberni, Port Hardy, Victoria and communities throughout the North Island. We also deliver regularly to the mainland, including North Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, Powell River, Kamloops, Kelowna, Williams Lake and Prince George.

We coordinate the entire delivery, so many customers complete the whole purchase, including financing and trade-in, without ever driving to Campbell River.

Our Vehicles and Pricing

How many vehicles do you have in stock?

Pacific Nations keeps 40 to 50 reconditioned used vehicles on the lot in Campbell River at any time. Through the Steve Marshall Auto Group we can also access thousands more vehicles and bring most of them in within 24 hours. If you do not see what you want on our website, tell us the year, make, model and budget you are after and we will search the wider network for you.

What kinds of vehicles do you sell?

Pacific Nations sells used cars, trucks, SUVs, minivans, vans and trailers in all makes and models. We are an independent dealership rather than a single-brand franchise, so our lot carries a mix of domestic and import vehicles across a wide range of years, mileages and price points.

What is your mechanical inspection and reconditioning process?

Every vehicle Pacific Nations sells goes through a comprehensive multi-point mechanical inspection and full reconditioning before it is listed. Anything that does not meet our standard is repaired or replaced rather than passed along to the customer. The goal is a vehicle you can trust from day one, not a vehicle that merely passes.

How competitive are your prices?

Pacific Nations prices vehicles against the live market and publishes an independent CarGurus price rating on every listing, so you can see whether the vehicle is rated a Fair, Good or Great Deal without taking our word for it. CarGurus sets those ratings, not us, and we display them whether the rating is strong or not.

Trade-Ins

How do you decide what my trade-in is worth?

Pacific Nations appraises trade-ins using vAuto, which pulls live market data including current listings and recently sold comparable vehicles, combined with Canadian Black Book values. We can sit down and show you the same screen we are looking at, so you can see the exact comparable vehicles and recent sales behind your number rather than being handed a figure with no explanation. If you disagree with a comparable, tell us and we will talk through it.

Can I get my trade-in appraised online before visiting?

Yes. We can begin your trade appraisal remotely using information about your vehicle, including its VIN, odometer, trim, condition and photos. Our appraisal team uses live vAuto market data and Canadian Black Book values to help establish the vehicle’s value, subject to verification of its actual condition when we receive it.

Financing

How long does it take to get approved for a car loan?

Most car loan approvals at Pacific Nations are completed the same day. Our finance team submits your application directly to appropriate automotive lenders, compares the offers that come back, and walks you through the rate and structure options. If a lender needs an additional document, we tell you right away so nothing stalls.

Can I get approved with bad credit, no credit, or past credit challenges?

Yes. Pacific Nations works with customers across a wide range of credit situations, including bad credit, no credit history, first-time buyers, past bankruptcy or consumer proposal, and customers rebuilding after a difficult stretch. Every application is subject to lender approval, and our finance team works to structure financing around the customer’s individual circumstances and budget.

Do you only work with customers who have subprime credit?

No. Pacific Nations works with every credit profile, including excellent credit. We have direct access to national automotive lenders including TD Auto Finance, RBC and CIBC, and our finance team works to find financing options appropriate for each customer’s individual situation. We also have experience helping customers re-establish credit when that is what is needed.

Which lenders do you work with?

Pacific Nations works with more than twelve automotive lenders, including TD Auto Finance, RBC and CIBC. Our finance manager reviews each application and selects the lenders that appear most appropriate for the customer’s individual credit profile, financing needs and circumstances.

What makes your finance team different from other dealerships?

Our finance specialists understand the criteria used by the lenders we work with and use that experience to determine which lenders may be the best fit for an individual application. We focus on clear payment information, a sustainable loan structure and helping customers understand the financing options available to them.

About Pacific Nations

Do you only serve First Nations customers?

No. Pacific Nations Auto Sales & Finance is a full-service dealership serving customers of all backgrounds and communities across British Columbia. We honour and respect First Nations culture and values and are proud of our long-standing relationships with First Nations communities on Vancouver Island and the Pacific Coast, and everyone is welcome here.

Why does Pacific Nations have a 4.9-star rating from more than 1,400 Google reviews?

Pacific Nations holds a 4.9-star rating from more than 1,400 Google reviews. Customers often mention the straightforward process, clear communication and the condition of the vehicles. We treat the review count as an obligation rather than a trophy.

What are the benefits of being part of the Steve Marshall Auto Group?

Being part of the Steve Marshall Auto Group gives Pacific Nations access to thousands of additional vehicles and to group resources an independent lot would not normally have. If the exact vehicle you want is not on our Campbell River lot, we can usually locate and special-order a match from the group’s broader network, often within 24 hours.

Why choose Pacific Nations over a franchise dealership?

Pacific Nations combines the advantages of a large network, including national lender access, deep inventory and province-wide delivery, with the flexibility of an independent dealership. Because we are not tied to one manufacturer, we can help you find whichever make and model actually fits your needs rather than being limited to a single brand.

How does Pacific Nations support the local community?

Pacific Nations sponsors local causes, youth sports teams and community initiatives in Campbell River and across the North Island throughout the year, including the Campbell River Hurricanes U13 girls hockey team. We also run a weekly $250 grocery gift card giveaway for local families. You can learn more or enter on our Giveaway page.

Where can I see your vehicles and your team?

You can browse current inventory on our website, and watch hundreds of vehicle walk-arounds and behind-the-scenes videos on the Pacific Nations YouTube channel. The videos show the actual vehicles on our lot and the people you will be dealing with.
